Mr. David
In 1996, Pressha signed to LaFace Records as a member of the group Southsyde B.O.I.Z. They gained success with their hit single “Get Ready, Here it Comes” (peaked at #96 on the Billboard Hot 10).
In 1998, Pressha scored another Billboard charting hit single called “Splackavellie” (Soaring to #27 on the Billboard’s Hot 100 and #14 on the R & B charts). It appeared on the platinum selling soundtrack to the Ice Cube hit movie, “Player’s Club.”
Jones changed his moniker to “Mr. David” and dropped his next album independently in 2004. “Jody Is Back” scored major airplay with the hit singles, “Shoo da Wop” and “Slide On.” He followed up with the albums “Southern Soul Singer” in 2008 and “Me Loving You” in 2009.
Mr. David continues his success with his 2013 hit single “Mr. Right Now” and “Soul Skool” in 2014. After much anticipation, in 2015, Mr. David and the Malaco Music Group released his album “Put It On Ya” featuring his hot dance single of the same name.
