Jesus Christ came to set God’s people free from sin. But lots of God’s people still struggle with sin and fall into scandals that mar the testimony of Jesus thereby making the task of reaching the world with the gospel message difficult.
Unbelievers giggle at Christians because of the shameful scandals that are prevalent in the body of Christ. Satan and his cohorts taunt God in the heavens, and the Father of Light hurts because of this.
Why are so many Christians still struggling with sin?
The reason is that the body of Christ has emphasized, for the past 2,000 years, only one aspect of the Lord’s Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 – “baptizing people in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit” – unfortunately at the expense of the second aspect which includes “Teaching them to Obey.”
