KALISA'S LA IDA CAFE' WAS A FAVORITE HAUNT OF JOHN STEINBECK. THE SERIES WAS FILMED IN THE CABARET ON THE SECOND FLOOR ABOVE THE CAFE'. THESE ARE THE LAST IMAGES AS IT APPEARED BEFORE THE SALE OF THE BUILDING IN 2007. . A FIVE STAR EVENT: This channel is devoted to Kalisa's Cabaret, and the La Ida Cafe historical site. These are the Last Days of Steinbeck's historical Cannery Row, featuring dancers of the Monterey Bay.
