Vintage Future a la Jules Verne meets 1980s Walkman, East German Electro Harmonium, 1950s Crooning and Bart Simpson Lyrics. Elvis' "Blue Moon" vs. The Cure's "Spiderman" vs The Kinks vs The Beatles. It all began when Gon von Zola baked himself some Budda Cakes. Not wanting them to taste too much like factory produce, he added some King Prince (drums) and a little Gordon Naspick (guitars) to the dough, two of the finest Alter Ego ingredients available. In 2013 The Budda Cakes won the EXPLOSIVE UNSIGNED AWARD (Sky Media). Kassner Music Publishing (The Kinks) signed Gon for two of his songs. Gon co-Wrote the single "Bicycle" of Sue Denim's solo album, which has received 14.000 Youtube Hits so far. The Budda Cakes has headlined all major indie venues across London. He worked and played with Mighty Boosh favourites Robots in Disguise, Kate Nash, Lykke Li, Metronomy just to name a few.
