Welcome to Upgrade Your Books. Do you like reading books? Me too.
Over the years I've accumulated a lot of them. In my youth, I'd just settle for the cheapest way to get hold of a book - borrowing it from the library or a friend, or buying the mass-market pocketbook edition. As I started to make a bit of income, I began to prefer buying trade paperback editions and hardcovers. Then I discovered deluxe and collectible editions, like those from Franklin Library or Easton Press or the Folio Society.
I think about it like I think about the approach to alcohol - initially it is a functional item so you buy whatever is cheapest, down on the lowest shelf! Later on you can shop in the middle shelves. Then you get to a point where you want to treat yourself, so you start looking at the top-shelf products. For me, it's the same thing with books. Problem is, once I upgrade to top-shelf books, I still need to get rid of the cheaper ones...and that's how this channel was born.
