This organization was set up in VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, at the end of 2010. The reason for this was the increasing number of international students arriving at the university. It was necessary to establish an organization which will take care of foreign students and try to be helpful during the beginning of the school year and after. The environment is too new for the foreigners and the help from Czech students is very appreciated. ESC is a form of non-profit organization and as of 18th December, 2011 we are member of ESN CZ and ESN International. The main activity of this organization is to ensure the comfortable and happy living of the international students in our country. While we do cooperate with the university, we are not university's officials -- we're more like pals of the exchange students. This also means, that we are not in any way responsible for either part -- the exchange students or the university.
