Alex Mandel wrote two songs for Pixar's Academy-Award winning, Brave: "Touch the Sky" and "Into the Open Air." Since day one, he's been composer and musical director for NPR's Snap Judgment Live. He also scores movies, including "East Side Sushi", which has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and releases on iTunes in April 2016 (the soundtrack is on iTunes). His last project was The Echo Falls, which has received excellent reviews in the SF Chronicle, KQED's The Do List, and many more.
He will release his debut solo album in February 2016, featuring a duet with Julie Fowlis (singer of Mandel's songs in Brave) -- As Long As We Breathe.
