Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Steven Thorpe, a creative Product Manager with a focus on video players, mobile apps, content management systems and workflow acceleration. Currently I'm the Product Owner for the NBC Entertainment (NBC.com) video experience and technical ecosystem, overseeing all user facing players, management tools, and backend integrations. Since joining NBC in 2008 I've had the opportunity to fully overhaul and modernize an aging video platform including a replacement Flash player, new mobile apps for iOS and Android, implementation of HD transcoding and delivery workflows, plus a radically more efficient content management system (90% reduction in manual data entry while improving overall quality).
