INTERGEN is an exciting new project funded the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Programme.Launched in Manchester in October 2020, 8 partners led by Apreca from France and Step by Step from Iceland will design an innovative approach to intergenerational learning in light of the COVID19 pandemic. This will allow adults aged 18-30 and aged over 50 to work and learn from each other. We will create the INTERGEN BRIDGE METHOD with pedagogical materials for teachers and trainers and activity-based modules to develop key competences and mutual respect, by exchanging ideas & knowledge. We will also produce online training tutorials to facilitate job-market access for adult learners. All materials will be available in seven languages from the INTERGEN website. In the words of Georg C. Lichtenberg, ‘I cannot say whether things will get better by change; what I can say is that they must change if they are to get better.’ This is what we will address through the INTERGEN project.
