Alcatune is a Lisbon-based instrumental band born from the vision of Portuguese composer and multi-instrumentalist David Lopes. Emerging from a home studio eight years ago, it has evolved into a powerful trio with Kaan Tuna (bass, guitar & synthesizers) and Diogo Castilho (drums), where post-rock, shoegaze, and synth-laden atmospheres collide. Through waves of noise, soaring and cinematic melodies, Alcatune crafts immersive soundscapes that linger between fragility and eruption, turning emotion into sound and silence into momentum. With four studio album's, two EP's and a number of singles released to date, including a track featured in the 'Refuge One' compilation from Ripcord Records (Glasgow) and colaborations with artists from different countries. Songs like “Tabula Rasa” or “Coleraine” from “The Dust, Over The Years” and more recently on the single "Floatland" demonstrate the band's intention to integrate and experiment with shoegaze and synth elements.
