Jason Chance emerged in 1976 as the alter-ego of singer songwriter Jeffrey L. Fisher.
He has sung and danced across East Coast stages since that time, and he opened for such notables as jazz great Stanley Jordan and rock icon Robert Hazzard in the eighties.
In 1996, Jason Chance's first release, "Try to Understand", was a smogasbord of musical genres that delighted his fans.
However, due to family demands and his diagnosis of MS in 2001, Jason took a long sabbatical from the music world to focus on his family and his fight with MS.
In 2007, Jason's "Try to Understand" release received the attention of the independent label Group of 12 who signed him immediately into their stable of upcoming artists. With the "In America" project, Jason Chance has painstakingly developed such socially relevant songs as "Social Distancing (Are you Listening?)", "In America", and the police- challenging "Liberty City Rendez-vouz". Jason's faith in Jesus grounds his songs.
