In early May of 1995 I bought my first camcorder, a Canon UCS1 Hi8 and for the next 2 years I had this video camera around my neck almost everywhere I went, I filmed some 30+ 2 hour tapes' worth.
Decades later I wanted to convert all these videos, but all the converting devices I came across rendered these images in low quality, as compared to the original tapes, and would even distort, my conversion project seemed hopeless... I had recorded all these home films on a high end camera and carefully conserved the original tapes for some 20 years+ at the time.
In 2020 I spoke of this to a friend of mine, who brought up the fact that he had a very high end media converting computer that would probably do the job right. He agreed to loan me this apparatus, I then spent the next 2 years, during the Covid-19 pandemic, converting these 37 tapes over hundreds of hours.
I am now releasing them on the dates they happened (or as close as is known) clear as the day they were captured on camera.
