I've been a pyro junkie since I was a kid. I used to buy M80's for $0.25 a piece and terrorize my neighbors. When I was old enough to have a job I bought as many fireworks as I could and I'd put on "shows" on the 4th of July. I was fortunate enough to be able to do pyro-musicals for my family and neighbors until a few years ago, when age and health said, no more for you! I am still a member of the Pyrotechnic Guild International (PGI) and I've been a member of their safety team for the past 10 years. It is a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. I would encourage any amateur pyro out there to check them out and join. You will learn more than you ever thought possible about almost every type of pyrotechnic device than you can imagine.
