Formed in the spring of 2024 by Joel Shryack and Alex Ramirez, the group brings funky, forward-thinking interpretations to iconic jazz compositions—drawing inspiration from artists like Terence Blanchard, Michael Brecker, and Wayne Shorter. Influenced by LA’s diverse musical culture and late-night jam energy, the band blends deep jazz tradition with contemporary rhythms, tight improvisation, and modern textures—music that feels equally at home in an intimate club or a neighborhood art space.
