I am a Spanish concert guitarist and researcher, specializing in the music of the Generation of ’27 and in the cultural legacy of Spanish musicians and composers exiled by Franco’s dictatorship.
On February 13, I am releasing 'El mal de l’amor: The Songbook of Gustavo Durán' (Poliédrica, 2026), a new CD-book recorded at Dartington Hall, England, with Argentine tenor Jonatan Alvarado and produced by ethnomusicologist Lucy Durán —bringing a long-silenced musical voice back into the light.
Previously, in 2020, I released the album 'Memoria de la melancolía' (Poliédrica, 2020), an unforgettable experience recorded in García Lorca’s bedroom at the Huerta de San Vicente Museum in Granada, using Lorca’s own guitar—an instrument built by José Ortega in Granada circa 1906.
