Nirmalya has curved a niche for himself inthe field of ‘Kathak Dance’ today. He epitomizes the elegance and sophistication that are the result of blending the ancient ethos of northern India with modern sensibilities to create the highly lyrical art of ‘KATHAK’. For the past 17 years, Nirmalya has been pursuing his extensive training in advance form of Jaipur Gharana under the able guidance of the greatkathak maestro Pt.Rajendra Gangani and presently is a core member of “Swarang” Kolkata. Prior to that he could receive the blessing of legendary kathak Gurus like Padma Bibhushan Pt.Birju Maharaj & many more. Even mastered over various other dance forms. He has worked with D.P.S ,Bokaro Steel City for the past 25 years. now he has joined as the HOD (Performing Arts) at Indus Valley World School, Kolkata. • Nritya Praveen –Prayag Sangeet Samiti,Allahabad. • Scholarship in the year 1991 from State Music Academy ,Govt.of W.B. • National scholarship in the year1993 from M.H.R.D, New Delhi.
