TSSR was founded in 2014 by a group of strangers that ended becoming like family members. Originally influenced by Celtic Punk, the band's sound changed after some members left. This made room for a more straight forward Folk Punk sound coupled with vocals that are at times more reminiscent to Hardcore than what you'd associate with folk music. TSSR songs deal with depression and the good times to be had regardless of the issues one might face in this rat race called life. Energetic shows, humorous onstage banter and out of the box world views are just some of the things you can expect when watching this band. Although TSSR are part of an ever-growing Folk Punk culture in South Africa they have that "thing" about them that makes them different from their peers.
