Desi Taylor is a singer-songwriter from Kalamazoo, Michigan. Desi began writing songs at age 16, began performing regularly in bars at age 17, and worked as a professional musician in Denver by age 19. As a self-taught guitar and vocalist, Desi takes a poetic journey with honest, heart-felt lyrics and captivating melodies. Now barely in her 20's, she has performed at numerous festivals such as Battle Creek's Leilapalooza, Kalamazoo PRIDE, and Western Michigan University's Bronco Bash. She has been featured in multiple talent showcases and radio programs, such as NPR's Local Arts & More. She has also performed privately for celebrities such as Sheryl Crow and Colbie Caillat. Taking inspiration from a multitude of artists, she creates a new mixture of genres and puts a unique twist to her music.
