NAYANA.AB is a soulful artist fusing jazz, alternative R&B, Caribbean rhythms, and global influences to create music that is both emotionally rich and culturally grounded. She recently graduated with First Class Honours in a Master’s in Global Black Studies, Decolonisation & Social Justice, using her academic work to deepen the meaning behind her music and spark wider conversations. In the past 2 years, NAYANA has won the Dr. Martens Made Strong competition, performed alongside Ezra Collective, and was selected by Yazmin Lacey as the winner of Cross The Tracks’ Emerging Artist competition. Most recently, she won the Tileyard x SoundCloud International Songwriting Competition, earning a fully funded writing trip to Morocco. Raised between British and Trinidadian cultures, her music reflects a lifelong love of storytelling, soul, and sound—pairing expressive vocals with groove-led, global production.
