Jamee Schleifer prides herself on being the first public school Hip Hop teacher in Brooklyn, teaching in middle and elementary school for the Department Of Education for 27 years. She holds a BFA from Brooklyn College and an MA in Dance Education from New York University.
She developed her interdisciplinary Hip Hop curriculum by incorporating street dance styles into her class, beginning with the dance of the day, then reaching backwards to its roots, leaving room for self expression.
