SHEROES is a proudly independent, intersectional-feminist weekly radio show and podcast, created by longtime radio host and interviewer Carmel Holt. All SHEROES Productions are 100% produced, engineered, and hosted by women and queer folx.
The SHEROES Mission: To turn up the volume of women and genderqueer voices on the airwaves and in the music industry, through song and conversation, across genres and generations. We provide listeners an opportunity to hear what an hour of 100% femme and genderqueer voices and production sounds like. SHEROES is founded on the belief that music and dialogue are the most powerful changemaking and community building tools we have to raise awareness of the unique challenges we face as women and genderqueer people in the music industry (and in society), and inspire people of all gender identities to work together towards equality across all aspects of music, radio, and culture, to make music better for EVERYONE.
