Chad Michael Ward is a writer-director and cinematographer whose evocative photography and thought-provoking films aim to foster a greater understanding and empathy for the intricacies of the human experience. Ward got his start in the industry in 2006 directing music videos before directing his first feature film, STRANGE BLOOD, in 2015. Since then, he has continued to direct and shoot music videos, avant-garde fashion films, and darkly moody short films, including WHEN THE SHADOWS YEARN TO BREATHE, which was awarded the Nya Röster-Västerbotten film grant in 2022 and DESOLATION HEART, which was awarded the Talang AC/BD film grant in 2024. His second feature film, FAIRY DUST, is currently in post-production.
