On a family cruise in 2015, I broke my fibula in a zip-lining accident, which ironically led doctors to discover a large aortic aneurysm and calcified aorta valve in my heart.
The trouble didn't stop there, open heart surgery led to numerous complications, including a cerebral hemorrhage and lung surgery from complications from open heart surgery and other illnesses that required more surgery.
With my faith and positive outlook, I accepted my "NEW NORMAL" and found the strength to fulfill a goal I felt needed to be shared, and new found purpose in my life, which led me to write "MY UNEXPECTED JOURNEY." I wrote this book as encouragement and motivational.
I shared my journey back to life both emotionally and physically. My book-memoir explains how I was able to overcome and find joy and gratefulness in every day I am alive.
