Where silence becomes story, and systems sing.
Fables of Silence is a Basel-based composer and modular synth artist whose music explores the interplay of intuition, texture, and deep listening. For Fables, making music began as a form of meditation—long hours spent improvising at the piano, losing himself in sound to reflect, reset, and process the world.
Artists like the Beatles and Miles Davis have influenced Fables’s sense of exploration and craftsmanship, while contemporary voices such as Nils Frahm and Hania Rani affirm his love for space and expressive sound. Beyond music, his creative impulses have been shaped by philosophies of letting go, learned from Tai Chi practice and the ongoing task of overcoming perfectionism.
The project invites listeners to embrace both complexity and serendipity, finding meaning in the spaces between sounds. “Where silence becomes story, and systems sing” describes a practice of transforming quietude and invention into immersive sonic journeys.
