I was born in Texas, at a very young age ... my family moved to Bedford, Texas in 1958 - - - I moved to Houston in 1971 and have been here since then. I started playing guitar in 1966 (my guitar teacher was L. S. Mondier who was a piano player with Artie Shaw's orchestra). Like every other guy of that era, my biggest influences were Elvis and the Beatles (I liked the music and they got the girls!) During the early years, I was in a rock band, played with the church youth choir, and played bass in a jazz trio and a jazz septet. I also played acoustic guitar with a folk music group. I've been writing songs since the early 70's - - - I have twenty-seven of my recent songs copyrighted and more in process. Currently, I'm doing solo work in restaurants & clubs, concentrating on my original songs, early rock & roll, old blues, and a bit of country.
