Patrick Davis is an American roots songwriter, performer, television host, and Poet Laureate of South Carolina. A two-decade road veteran, Davis has built a career around Southern storytelling, strong melodies, and songs rooted in place and home. His work has been recorded by artists including Guy Clark, Jimmy Buffett, Darius Rucker, Robert Randolph and many more, while his own catalog has earned him a loyal following across the country. Davis is also the host of the national PBS/APT/ETV series Southern Songwriters w/ Patrick Davis, the founder of the exclusive Songwriters in Paradise series, and the writer of “Carolina When I Die,” now officially recognized as a South Carolina State Song.
