Albert Vila began his musical studies at the "Taller de Musics" Barcelona. In 1999 he was accepted into the Conservatory of Amsterdam and studied with J.V. Ruller.In 2004 he won the1st prize in the Dutch Jazz Competition ,the following year got a scholarship to join the graduate program at the prestigious "Manhattan School of Music" in New York. In 2007 returned to Barcelona and lead a new project : Albert Vila quintet, with this group in 2007 won the "Debajazz" competition,and is in the same year Fresh Sound New Talent released his debut album "Foreground music" .In 2011 released his second album on FSNT, entitled "Tactile" In 2012 comes out his latest album in trio formation, where he sorrounded himself by the great drummer Jorge Rossy and bassist Reinier Elizarde "El Negrón". In the same year he is awarded in Belgium with the 1st prize at the Jazz Hoeilaart .
