Jean Parker Shepherd Jr. (July 26, 1921 – October 16, 1999) was an American humorist, radio personality, storyteller, writer, and actor, best known for pioneering free-form talk radio through his extemporaneous late-night monologues on WOR in New York City and for his semi-autobiographical works that inspired the 1983 film "A Christmas Story", which he narrated and co-scripted. This channel features many of Jean's restored radio show recordings, live stage performances, and interviews from the 1950s to the 1990s. Most original Shepherd recordings can be found on public sources such as Archive.org and FlickLives.com.
