Meike Neitz is the MD of the Startup Consultancy embassidy. For over 8 years, she's also been moderating events, pitch sessions, awards and panels. Before starting embassidy, Meike was Senior Manager, Trend & Innovation Scouting at Germany Trade & Invest in charge of all international affairs of the Digital Hub Initiative (de:hub) by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. From 2020-2022, she was a Digital Ambassador with GIZ, based in Namibia to support the local Startup ecosystem and build bridges between Europe and Africa. Until then Meike ran her own business, focusing on communications and business development for Startups, amongst others working with the TV show “Die Höhle der Löwen”. Meike began her career as Country Director for the Emerging Markets Research Firm Oxford Business Group (OBG), living & working in Turkey, Indonesia, Tunisia, Thailand & Algeria. She studied Int'l Relations at TU Dresden & Boston College and holds a MA in Pol Comms from Goldsmiths, University of London.
