The LZ'73 was created to help guitarists achieve the live sound of Jimmy Page during his days with Led Zeppelin, particularly 1973. I assembled three separate effects (the staples of his live gear), and put them together in one enclosure - starting with a Marshall amp style circuit that nails the Classic Rock Plexi tones (with treble, mids, bass, drive and volume control) - next, is a delay circuit that delivers classic tape echo tone for the slapback effect that Jimmy loves (with delay, repeat and mix control) and last in the signal chain, is the Echoplex preamp circuit - which polishes the sound in a way that is very pleasing to the ear. I recommend that you leave the ECHOPLEX preamp on all the time. The LZ'73 Echoplex Preamp circuit has 3 settings - "Early, Later and Fatten". The "Early" position gives you the early serial number units - use the "Later" position if you're going after the later serial number units - and if you just want to thicken your tone, use the "Fatten" position
