The FreeRide ExpeRience was founded over a decade ago in Tbilisi by Datuna Rakviashvili, Dylan Crawford, Robert Maxfield, Nick Wilkes, and Richard Saunders, soon after, Vaja “Kusto” Chakhunashvili joined the lineup. True to its name, The FreeRide ExpeRience embraces freedom and experimentation across all blues-based genres — from traditional to progressive, from deep groove to high-energy rock. Today the band features: Datuna Rakviashvili – Vocals, Guitar; Vazha (Kusto) Chakhunashvili – Drums; Levan Topuridze – Bass Their repertoire blends original compositions with reinterpretations of blues-rock classics. Members of The FreeRide ExpeRience shaped their musical vocabulary and taste while performing with Vova Mogeladze’s Blues Mobile Band, a cornerstone of Georgia’s blues scene. With the BMB, they have toured nationally, in Europe (Germany, UK) and Unite States for International Blues Challenge (2004, 2005).
