Shawn Beddows is an American song writer and poet who has been active since 1985 under several stage names; most notably as KWEST and most recently as BRUISED WILLUS and has recorded with a variety of artists including Smooth B. of the infamous rap duo Nice & Smooth. In 2017, he released a transatlantic Rap-Rock fusion album with Belgian rock band, ZINNE. The group name of KWEST V ZINNE was used for the album which was titled, Samurai Swords - The European Experiment and featured 14 musicians from 5 countries, recording in 4 studios on 2 continents. The Wall Street Journal called the album an "unusual mix of musicians...an unusual mix of music..." In 2019 Shawn released two EPs and one single under Shawn Beddows Presents: KWEST. Finally, the single, Death of KWEST, marked the end of the KWEST era but ushered in a new era. Shawn Beddows Presents: Bruised Willus - Silent Mayhem was the first album under the new name and was released on January 31, 2020.
