JAC stands for Japanese Appreciation Club ( 日本愛好会 Nihon Aikokai in romaji). The club was formed by 6 Japanese culture loving students in September 1996. A month long emersion to Tokyo left them with great passion for the Japanese culture, arts and its language made them eager to share their new found passion with fellow students in NTU through the club. Mission Statement To introduce the Japanese culture to NTU students through various cultural performances, educational activities and exchange programmes. Goals To encourage as much interaction as possible between students of NTU and our Japanese counterparts. Fostering goodwill, cultivating friendships and the sharing of knowledge and ideas with Japan is what we always want to achieve.
