Artist Paul Anthony Cook, also known as Paul Cooke, is often described as a legend for his pioneering role in forming the band Sade in 1982, alongside two fellow musicians from his hometown of Hull, in the North of England. Together, these three musicians helped to shape, arrange, write, and produce the music that would become one of Sade’s most iconic and successful albums — Cook and Denman were instrumental in developing the bass and drum foundations for the timeless hit “Smooth Operator.” Paul's seminal work with the Sade partnership in 1983 on TV show 'Loose Talk' CH4 is archived at the BFI in London. 🍀 This channel is not affiliated with or intended to promote the current Sade group or its projects.
