Ian Zafra is a Filipino musician, singer, and songwriter. He currently performs in Age Care Lakeview, Coast Mental Health, Trees Organic (Granville), Translink stations, Vancouver streets, and private parties. He has also performed with other musicians in Metro Vancouver, such as Easy Play of Grandt Kitchen in Surrey, and Translink busker Natasha Kozak. He was nominated as the recipient of Coast Mental Health's 2024 Volunteer Positive Impact Award. And he prides himself as the guitarist, backup vocalist, co-songwriter, and co-producer for Sheila and the Insects, the band that he co-founded in his home country, the Philippines. As a solo artist in Vancouver, his playlist set is mainly in an acoustic/electric guitar setup with a diverse repertoire ranging from the 50's hits up to the recent pop songs. His fervent wish is to be able to pursue his passion in music, write new songs, perform his style of music, and be part in contributing to the vibrant music community in Vancouver BC.
