After a chance meeting in London, songwriters Carley and Matt began their story. Within 6 months, they had quit their day jobs to take a leap of faith and build a career in music. Sacrificing many of life's comforts, they honed their craft performing covers at weddings and events to pay the bills, and wrote their first song together backstage at a show. With their love of real instrumentation and evocative storytelling, the authenticity of country music has always been in their blood. Growing up, Matt was listening to REM, The Eagles, and The Rolling Stones, whilst Carley was singing Patsy Cline songs and had Shania Twain, Faith Hill and LeAnn Rimes on repeat. It's this rich melting pot of influences, including some of the greatest storytellers of all time, that inspire SilverSpark to take the listener on a journey. Whether it’s one of heartbreak or redemption, hope or defiance, throughout their lyrics as in their daily lives, they always wear their hearts on their sleeves.
