This channel is showcasing media content being produced as part of two large water research projects, 'Co-Creation of Indigenous Water Quality Tools' and 'Ohneganos - Indigenous Ecological Knowledge, Training, and Co-Creation of Mixed-Method Tools.
The primary objectives of these research projects are to harmonize Indigenous Knowledge and Western Science to improve environmental governance and management. By integrating Traditional Ecological Knowledge and indigenous values, we are calling for water justice - encouraging people to respect their water and to treat water with compassion and empathy. Uptaking the responsibility to take care of our water will be critical for safeguarding both the future of the environment and humankind.
These projects are funded by Global Water Futures - the largest university-led water research program ever funded, worldwide.
