Hello there! I created this YouTube channel for my students as a means of "flipping" the classroom. Students could watch videos at home to familiarize themselves with the concepts for themselves and during class time we could do more interesting inquiry based activities to deepen their understanding. A second purpose I seek to fulfill through this channel is to make knowledge regarding STEM careers more accessible to my students and help create a community of mentors to help them achieve their personal goals. I try to interview STEM professionals from the local community using questions created by my students. As most of the jobs in the 21st century will have some connection to STEM as well as an increasing need as a society to solve increasingly challenging problems, STEM knowledge is important and students' interests in STEM should be cultivated!
