Weaux (pronounced “Woah!”) is a queer popstar, songwriter and producer making “dance pop for drama kids”.
This year, his new EP “FUTURE VU” takes his music in an exciting new futuristic dance pop direction with heavy, robotic beats, pulsing synth bass, and shimmering synthesizers for a sound that is danceable yet dark and dramatic.
Now based in LA, he has performed at Madame Siam and Zero Lounge in Hollywood, at the Human Dignity Foundation in San Diego, at The Delancey and Brooklyn Music Kitchen in NYC, and at AvantGarden in Houston, for which he was highlighted in OutSmart Magazine, Houston’s leading LGBTQ magazine.
Born and raised a theatre kid in Houston, Texas, he originally moved to New York City to pursue acting and soon discovered another artistic love: music.
After coming out, he combined his first and last name, Wayne Babineaux, to create "Weaux" as an affirmation that "I am amazing".
His mission is to make the world a more accepting and inclusive place for everyone.
