Sanjeev Venkataramanan, a disciple of Sangita Kalanidhi Kum. A. Kanyakumari, has been a performing Carnatic violinist since 1994. He performs at major sabhas in Chennai. Expanding into Western orchestration in 2015, he pioneered a unique blend of raga and orchestral textures, creating an instrumental repertoire for Carnatic music. His works include Mix and Match (2024), Lost in Harmony (award-winning short film), Balahamsa in Symphony, and Raindrops. He has released acclaimed violin albums and curated tribute DVDs. Recognized with the Yagnaraman Award (2016) and Shanmukha Sangeeth Shiromani Award (2014), Sanjeev continues to innovate in raga-based orchestration.
