Singer, songwriter and jazz musician Valeria Maurer compares her music to a migratory bird, gliding through myths and poetry while encountering diverse musical worlds both near and far. Together with her quartet, she blends influences from jazz, pop and folkloric motifs. Valeria was born in Kazakhstan, grew up in Siberia, she moved to Germany in 2013. She studied jazz singing and indian classical music in Mannheim, Germany. Her debut album, "Here is the Silence", released on September 20, 2024, tells stories of solitude, the courage to embrace change, longing for childhood, and the search for self-identity – poetic, vibrant, and from heart to heart.
