I am the lead singer and band leader of Tim Schmidt & the Gunslingers. I write, compose and perform alternative rock & roll. My music sounds like a cross between Tom Petty and Johnny Cash. My music influences are R.E.M., U2, INXS, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, The Cars and The Killers. We've sometimes been described as a 'modern version of a 1985 rock & roll band'.
