The City of Champions™ is a registered trademark, which is a Mandela Legacy project in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Bay. It is a unique opportunity for the Nelson Mandela Bay City to showcase its talents, gifts and to mobilise its stakeholders in keeping the Mandela Legacy, in a Championship spirit. Through the City of Champions™ initiative, the Nelson Mandela Bay will strive to be the FIRST city in the world to hold the most World Records simultaneously. The City will compete to complete records jointly with citizens and businesses through inclusive, innovative and focussed efforts. We will demonstrate the TRUE MADIBA MAGIC through the various World Record, where all citizens will partake without fear, favour or prejudice. The City intends to hold 67 World Record Events with either a single participant or hundreds to thousands of participants in the Nelson Mandela Bay over the next three years. As this project forms part of the Mandela Legacy Projects.
