In 1946 at the age of four Dorothy began her lifelong journey as a classical pianist. In New York City during that era there was no shortage of talented influence, and with that exposure and direction, Dorothy became known for her piano prodigy. Under the direction of the late pianist/composer Zaven Khachaturian , Dorothy honed her skills at a young age. She launched her adult studies at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, a journey that ended at Juilliard. It was only when offered a place in history, and accepting a position at NASA aiding the scientists with the Apollo missions, did Dorothy leave NYC and her musical studies. Performing through the decades, Dorothy continued her passioned development for piano proficiency, performance, and composition. It is here that you can experience some of her work.
