Kaylon Alexis is a film composer and steelpan arranger whose music brings depth and emotion to both screen and stage. His work has featured in a variety of film and web projects, including a Hollywood web series, wildlife documentary, and a feature-length film, creating immersive and memorable soundscapes. As a steelpan arranger, Kaylon has collaborated with ensembles across the USA, Europe, Japan, and his native Trinidad and Tobago, including the BP Renegades Youth Steel Orchestra stage side band. He has pioneered innovative steelpan styles, blending tradition with experimentation to expand the instrument’s expressive possibilities. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Kaylon is the eldest of three children. Encouraged by his parents, he grew up in a creative environment that nurtured his musical abilities from a young age. His main instrument is the steelpan, and his work reflects a dedication to sharing the rich sounds and culture of his homeland with the world.
