In the fall of 1990. Kwame Vear and Lamel Watson wanted to provide an outlet for Hip Hop artists that were ignored by mainstream radio. They created a radio show titled "HardCore Righteousness" and it was the first Hip Hop program to ever be broadcast on City College's WHCR 90.3 FM radio station in Harlem, New York City. In 2004, "Hardcore Righteousness" changed its name to "Equilibrium Radio", to reflect the sense of balance musically that the show brings to the airwaves. It has maintained through the contributions of many including, DJ Cee Ayy, D-Nasty, Crys Breezy, Roxie Digital, DJ Blas, Mrs Nee-Nee, Ms. LaRock, Priest Forever and others. Equilibrium Radio plays music designed to educate, inspire and help you unwind after a long day of dealing with the world outside. It's about carrying on the belief that music can help make a positive change. We are adults who love Hip Hop.
