Subscribe to our Youtube Channel Surprisingly it was the guitar that Guillaume Barraud started playing at a very young age, and it wasn’t until his encounter with his mentor the Indian music legend HARIPRASAD CHAURASIA that he began to find his own voice with the subtle and haunting sound of the Indian bamboo flute. After many years studying with the maestro, Guillaume explores the sound of the bansuri with his contemporary jazz quartet. A versatile musician, Guillaume has performed with various artists such as Manu Eveno (TRYO), ERKAN OGÜR & MISIRLI AHMET, SAÏD CHRAÏBI, Sanket Naik, Brussels Philharmonic, Czech National Symphony Orchestra, and participated in the European tour VERTIGES directed by TONY GATLIF. He has recorded for the soundtracks of TIMBUKTU, FAHIM with Gérard Depardieu (2019) and for French composer Ludovic Bource .
