About the UHD World Association (UWA)
Founded in 2022, UWA is a non-profit international organization dedicated to advancing the global ultra-high-definition (UHD) audio and video industry.
UWA brings together leading equipment manufacturers, broadcasters, cable and satellite operators, OTT and IPTV platforms, content creators, technology innovators, and ecosystem partners to accelerate the adoption of next-generation UHD technologies through standards development, industry cooperation, and large-scale application deployment.
As of December 2025, UWA has 488 member organizations worldwide across 23 countries and regions. Leveraging the collective strengths of its global ecosystem, UWA is committed to fostering shared growth, enabling industry-wide innovation, and propelling the UHD sector into its next stage of high-quality development.
