Amthony Namee Aka Tranquility means “calm” which basically defines him as an upcoming artist and songwriter that is on a journey to become one of reggae music’s great. His genre of music is mainly reggae-cultural, but he is incredibly versatile. His music is clean and his goals through his music are to enrich people’s lives and to send positive messages. Tranquliti was born in Longcreek, Georgetown Guyana on April 8, 1987. In 1992 at the age of 5, Tranquliti left Guyana and settled in the district of West Prospect, St. Catherine, Jamaica with his family. Tranquliti attended Tolluch primary school and he went on to Bog Walk High in St. Catherine, Jamaica. He then started to learn about the real reggae music and fell in love with it. As a young child, Tranquliti was raised by his Mother, and grandparents. His father was not part of his life and only was in verbal contact with him from the age of 20. Till this day he has not met him.
