I’m Arabella Thaïs, a philosopher and PhD researcher. My work focuses on aesthetics and metaphysics, with a particular emphasis on the power of beauty to transform us, the role of the imagination, and the relation between consciousness and temporality. I especially draw on philosophy alongside physics and the poetic imagination to examine alternative models of time, and what they imply for experience, meaning, and causation.
This channel explores the history of ideas from the ancient world to the present, synthesising philosophy, art, literature, and science to investigate how reality is structured and how human beings make sense of it. It returns to vital figures and foundational concepts, challenging the ontological and epistemological assumptions that shape dominant worldviews, and considering how such inquiry may deepen, refine, and enrich human life.
